Academy Legacy — we redesign websites
Send us your website. We send back a redesign of it, built and live, before there is anything to commit to.
Academy Legacy is a London design and build studio that does three things. The main work is a website redesign: designed from a blank page around what a business actually sells, shown to the owner finished rather than as a mockup, then built and launched on their own domain and owned outright. The second is getting found, which is the work that gets a business named when someone asks Google or ChatGPT about its line of work. It is inside every redesign, and it is also taken on its own, put into the website a business already has when the owner is happy with how it looks. The third, for businesses where a single booking is worth a great deal, is the client experience layer: one private, branded place a client uses after they book, with a single console the team runs it from. We work internationally.
One: your website, redesigned
- Designed from a blank page around your business, not a template with your logo on it
- One clear thing for a visitor to do, not five competing buttons
- Plain writing that says what you sell and who it is for
- A page for each real question people ask before buying
- A phone version designed on its own terms
- Fast, solid, and built to keep working
- Yours outright: the design, the code, the words and the data, on your own domain
Two: getting found
The work that gets a business named when someone asks Google or ChatGPT about its line of work. It is part of every redesign, because what gets you named is the same plain, specific writing that convinces the person who then clicks. We also do it on its own, for businesses that are happy with the website they have and simply are not being found. Those sites are left as they are. It is the smaller of the two jobs, and it is often where a redesign starts.
Three: the part after they book
A website wins the enquiry. What happens next is usually email, WhatsApp and a folder of PDFs. For operators where one booking is worth a great deal, we build the private, branded place that replaces all of it: everything sorted the moment a client books, then their journey laid out day by day with a direct line to the team. The business side is one console, updated once. It sits above the booking, accounting and client systems already in place rather than replacing them, and it is quoted separately. Most clients only want the website.
How it works
- You send us your website. Just the address. Nothing to prepare.
- We send you a redesign of it. Built and live, so you can open it on your phone.
- You decide. If you like it we finish it and put it live on your domain. If not, you have lost nothing.
Why it is worth doing now
People ask a full question and are given one written answer naming two or three businesses, and often never open a website at all. Google says 2.5 billion people a month now see its AI answers. Pew Research Center found 60% of US adults say they read the answer at the top of the page, and that when one appears about half as many people click through to any website. What gets a business named in that answer is the same plain, specific writing that convinces the person who clicks, so it is built into every redesign, and it is also the one piece we will do on its own for a site we did not design.
On whether that traffic is worth having: Shopify, across storefronts on their platform in the first quarter of 2026, found people arriving from AI convert about 50% better than from organic search and spend 14% more per order, holding in 23 of 25 merchant categories. Semrush put the average AI search visitor at 4.4 times the value of an average organic visitor on conversion. The finding that cuts the other way, from the largest study of it across 81,947 websites: people arriving from AI view fewer pages and leave slightly more often. Higher intent, not free money.
What we cannot show is our own client data. We have not been doing this long enough to have a fair before-and-after, and we will not borrow someone else’s and imply it was ours.
What we will not promise
Nobody can promise you a place in an answer. No one outside the companies building these systems controls what they say, and the same question can give a different answer next week. Anyone guaranteeing it is selling something they cannot deliver.
Who it is for
Owners whose website no longer matches the quality of their work, most often where a single enquiry is worth a lot: private aviation, yacht and boat charter, villas and private houses, hotels, travel companies, advisory and professional firms, architecture and interior design studios, manufacturers and private clubs. It is not a fit for businesses selling cheap products in volume, or for anyone who wants a template site at the lowest price.
Cost, ownership and capacity
Priced by quote, because a one-page site and a ten-service business are not the same job. You own everything: the design, the code, the words and the data, on your own domain. We take a small number of these at a time, and when we are full we say so.
